The continuum of sexual violence (Also sometimes known as “rape culture”) describes a spectrum of attitudes and behaviors ranging from verbal harassment to sexual assault. It depicts the many ways people may experience and perpetrate sexual violence. The continuum does not demonstrate “less bad” to “worst” attitudes and behaviours, but rather “less recognized and condemned” at the bottom, and “more easily recognized and condemned” at the top.
