Reporting Options

Although many sexual violence behaviours are crimes in the criminal code, some are also violations of other legislation, policies, or codes of conduct.

Depending on the nature of your experience, other reporting options may be available to you in addition to police reporting.

Internal & Community Channels

You may be able to file a report internally through:

Workplace HR Human Resources Dept
School Admin Administration / Title IX
Organizations Volunteer Boards

Provincial Commissions

If you believe you have experienced discrimination protected under the PEI Human Rights Act, you may file a complaint. Sexual Harassment is something that may be covered.

Tip: Call or email in advance to ensure your situation can be dealt with by the Commission.
